With nearly three decades of coaching experience, a lifelong passion for the game, and an unwavering dedication to nurturing young talent, Coach Bergen is set to lead our team to new heights.
A Lifetime of Dedication
Coach Bergen embarked on his baseball journey in his youth and has since built an impressive coaching career spanning nearly 30 years. With extensive experience at the college and high school levels, his wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the game significantly contribute to the success of the Fort Collins Foxes. Currently serving as the Assistant Head Coach at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ since 2019, Coach Bergen has played a pivotal role in the team's remarkable progress. During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Gateway had a total of 19 wins. Over the past two seasons, Gateway has totaled 50 wins, a remarkable turnaround for the program. Beyond college coaching, Coach Bergen's expertise extends to his previous role as a scout for the Anaheim Angels. Throughout his career, he has mentored several major league players, including the impressive 12-year veteran and two-time All-Star, Andre Ethier.
